œThe Red River is closely attached to my childhood. The images of water lilies floating on the river have been imbedded in my memory and accompanied me on my present and future paths.
That explains why painter Hoang Duy Vang has obtained great success with this theme. His works, such as œYellow water-lily, œRed water-lily, œSpring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, œThe youth, œRising up, œRain goes through, œWithered lotus, œWinter sunlight, etc, were created using oil on the material of voile cloth.
The painter has a forte in using strong and contrasting colours to reflect different periods of this aquatic plant.
They always rise up to receive the pure atmosphere of land and sky. Via the exhibition, viewers seem to perceive moments of their childhood in every work.
