Art Port 08 Music Festival coming to capital city

The first annual music and arts festival named Art Port will take place at Hanoi Giang Vo Exhibition Centre on July 19-20.

The festival will attract 15 bands and singers of different music genes (R&B, Hip Hop, Rock).

There will be four rock shows: two mini shows for student bands and two big shows called œRock Your Art 1 and œRock Your Art 2 gathering the best rock bands of Vietnam, such as Ngu Cung, Red Cross, Final Stage, Nuranium, 7Days, Recycle, Red Tide, and Black Infinity. Rock shows will be the core of Art Port 08 Festival.

At the same time, different types of arts (decorating cars and motorbikes, BMX, graffiti, multimedia arts, tattoo, etc.) will be on display.

The event message is œEach individual is an artist. It is an open playground for the young to show their talents and their passions for art and music.

Art Port 08 is inspired by the Woodstock Music and Art Fair held from August 15-18, 1969 in Bethel, New York where rock n roll bands performed over three days, attracting over 500,000 people.

Woodstock 69 is considered a legendary music event and rated as one of the 50 historic moments that changed the history of rock n roll by the prestigious music magazine Rolling Stone.
